Official Contest Rules 2024

No purchase or payment of any kind is necessary to enter to win this contest (message & data rates may apply). Void where prohibited by law. Must be 21 years of age or older and a legal resident of Wisconsin to participate.

ADMINISTRATOR: Woodward Community Media, a division of Woodward Communications, Inc., 2800 E College Ave Appleton, WI 54915 (the “Administrator”)

Who Can Enter
Eligible entrants must be twenty-one (21) years of age or older and legal U.S. residents of the state of Wisconsin as of the date of entry in the Contest. Employees (including, without limitation, part-time or temporary employees) of the Station, Sponsor/s and their respective parent entities, subsidiaries, affiliated companies and advertising and promotion agencies, and management at any time during the applicable contesting period and the immediate family and other household members (i.e., spouses, parents, grandparents, children, grandchildren, roommates, housemates, significant others, partners, siblings (half and full) and the steps of each of the foregoing) of each of the above are NOT eligible to enter and/or to win the Contest.

How to Enter
1. Listen to 104.3 The Fuse via the broadcast signal or live stream through 1043TheFuse.com or The Fuse mobile app, every day of the “Promotion” at approximately 12:00:00 PM (CDT) for an announcement of the Fuse or Lose Song of the Day.

2. Visit the designated contest page at 1043TheFuse.com and enter the title of the song that airs directly after the announcement of the Fuse or Lose Song of the Day.  Participants are allowed one entry per day. Duplicate entries on the same day will be discarded. Maximum number of entries per person is thirty-two (32).

All required fields MUST be filled out on the entry form and successfully submitted to be considered eligible. PLEASE REVIEW YOUR ENTRY BEFORE SUBMITTING. Incomplete or inaccurate entries will be disqualified. 

WARNING! DUE TO DELAYS IN THE ONLINE STREAMING OF THE STATION’S BROADCAST SIGNAL, LISTENERS TO THE ONLINE STREAM MAY NOT BE ABLE  PARTICIPATE IN, OR MAY BE DISADVANTAGED IF PARTICIPATING IN, ANY  CONTEST THAT REQUIRES POTENTIAL ENTRANT(S) TO LISTEN TO STATION. CONTEST PARTICIPANTS SHOULD NOT RELY ON STREAMED BROADCASTS.

Entry into the Sweepstakes will constitute an agreement to abide by the Official Rules and acknowledge that the decision of the judges is final. Although not required to participate, the Sweepstakes Entry Form may request consent (via checkbox) to be added to Station and/or Sponsor and its affiliated companies’ direct mail, Internet and Mobile marketing databases to receive email and/or text messages.

Grand Prize Drawing

1. RANDOM DRAWING TO DETERMINE ONE (1) GRAND PRIZE WINNER: One (1) eligible entry will be randomly drawn on October 25, 2024 at approximately 12:00:00 PM CDT and the entrant declared the “Contest” GRAND PRIZE winner (subject to verification of eligibility). Grand Prize Winner will receive the following:
   1. Round-Trip Airfare for Two
   2. Three (3) night hotel stay (November 7-10, 2024)
   3. Two (2) tickets to see Sublime, Cage the Elephant and Fitz & The Tantrums at SEMA Fest at the Las Vegas Convention Center on Friday, November 8th, 2024.
   4. Meet & Greet with Sublime + Autographed Sublime Merchandise
   5. $1,000 Promotional Card
2. RANDOM DRAWING TO DETERMINE ONE (1) RUNNER-UP PRIZE WINNER: One (1) eligible entry will be randomly drawn on October 25, 2024 at approximately 12:00:00 PM CDT and the entrant declared the “Contest” RUNNER-UP winner (subject to verification of eligibility). Runner-Up Winner will receive the following:
   1. $500 Check issued and mailed to the runner-up by Woodward Community Media.
3. If a winner is unable to be notified for any reason for any amount of time, the applicable prize may be forfeited and awarded to an alternate winner.
4. Generally notification is deemed to have occurred immediately upon placing of a phone call or any other method of notification as specified in the specific contest. The Administrator is not responsible for any change of email address, mailing address, and/or telephone number of entrants. The Administrator/s are not responsible for and shall not be liable for late, misdirected or unsuccessful efforts to notify a finalist and/or potential winner(s).. If the potential winner does not claim the prize within the appropriate time given upon, the entrant will automatically be disqualified and their prize will be forfeited.
5. Potential winner(s) is subject to verification, including verification of eligibility. If an entrant is unable to verify his/her information, the entrant will automatically be disqualified and their prize, if any, will be forfeited. The Administrator reserves the right to determine an alternate winner in accordance with these Official Rules in the event that that any winner is disqualified, cannot be contacted, or is deemed ineligible for any reason, or is not available to participate in any applicable Contest events.
6. No substitution or transfer of prizes permitted, unless otherwise stated in the contest rules. All federal, state and local taxes are the sole responsibility of the winner. 
7. Prize winner/s will be required to execute an affidavit of eligibility/release of liability/prize acceptance form. Acceptance of prize constitutes permission to the sponsor and its agencies to use the winner’s name and/or likeness/voice for purposes of advertising and trade without further compensation.  
8. ARV of the grand prize package is $4,500.00 USD.
9. Value of the runner-up prize is $500.00 USD.

Additional Rules and Conditions that Apply to this Contest

 

If tickets to an event are awarded as a prize, Sponsor and Administrator are not responsible for any cancellation or rescheduling of the event for any reason and has no obligation to reimburse, refund or otherwise substitute the tickets for another prize should the event not be rescheduled or vouchers not issued. Should a promotional card be part of the prize, the promotional cards shall include and herein be referenced as “promotional card(s)” collectively to any prefunded bank card, a gift card, an electronic gift card, stored-value card or certificate, a store card, merchant card, voucher for services or goods, a gift certificate or similar instrument and other redeemable instruments with value credit or the like that may be awarded are subject to terms, conditions and restrictions as set by issuer. *Promotional cards are subject to the terms of use, applicable conditions and restrictions, including any expiration dates, promulgated by issuer of card. The promotional cards are not transferable, redeemable for cash or exchangeable for any other prize. Redemption of the promotional card will be subject to the standard terms, conditions and restrictions applicable to the participating merchant and or the card issuer in effect on the day of issuance of the promotional card. The promotional card cannot be redeemed for the purchase of other promotional cards. Except as required by law, the promotional card cannot be reloaded, resold, transferred for value, redeemed for cash, or applied to any other account. The Sponsor and Administrator are not responsible if any promotional card is lost, stolen, destroyed or used without permission. If the promotional card is lost or stolen, it will not be replaced. No substitutions allowed except by Sponsor or Administrator at its sole discretion for a prize of comparable value. Should travel be part of the prize, Sponsor and Administrator are not responsible for cancellations or delays in travel accommodations and has no obligation to reimburse, refund or otherwise substitute any tickets awarded as a part of a travel prize due to such cancellations or delays.

 

Trip Prize Conditions: If travel is being awarded, all prize packages shall include round-trip, coach class air transportation for winner from a major commercial airport near winner’s home to the destination and a double occupancy standard hotel room as specified in herein. Actual value of trip may vary based on point of departure and airfare fluctuations. Any difference between stated approximate retail value and actual value of Prize will not be awarded and is specified in these Official Contest Rules. Selection of airline and hotel are solely within Sponsor’s and Administrator’s discretion. Meals, gratuities, luggage fees, incidental hotel charges and any other travel-related expenses not specified herein are the sole responsibility of winner and guest. Travel for the trip awarded must take place on and/or within the designated dates and is subject to schedule and availability, alternative travel dates will not be provided. If the prizewinner(s) is unavailable for travel on the designated dates, the specified or prize will be forfeited and may or may not be awarded to an alternate prizewinner(s) at the sole discretion of the Sponsor and Admistrator. Exact travel dates and arrangements may be subject to availability whether specified or not. Winner and travel guest must travel on same itinerary.

 

General Terms and Conditions

 

Use of robotic, mechanical or other forms of pre-programmed entry methods is prohibited. Station will disqualify any Contest entry on the basis of the use of such manipulation tools. Notwithstanding the foregoing, entrants are not entitled to use such manipulation tools and Station reserves the right (in its sole discretion), from time to time, to implement entry processes that may frustrate or prohibit such automated entry; provided, however, that no entrant in any Contest may rely upon or insist upon Station’s failure or refusal to take any of the foregoing actions or to determine, in its sole discretion, that one entrant’s entry should be discounted because another entrant’s entry was or vice versa.

Station Management shall be the sole arbiters in all matters relating to the Contest and in the interpretation of Contest rules. The decisions of the Station will be final as to all matters, including, without limitation, whether any entry is valid or contestant is correct or not. Entry into the Contest constitutes agreement by entrants to abide by these rules, as well as any other rules established by the Station.

Station and Sponsor/s are not responsible for any technical difficulties, technical malfunctions or errors (whether technical or typographical or human) which may occur in the administration of the Contest and/or the processing of any entries, errors experienced due to overload, busy signals, loss of phone service, internet availability, electronic problems, interrupted or unavailable satellite, network, server, Internet Service Provider (ISP), website, telephone or other connections, availability or accessibility, or miscommunications, or failed computer, satellite, telephone or cable transmissions, or lines, or technical failure or jumbled, garbled, corrupted, scrambled, delayed, or misdirected transmissions, or computer hardware or software or telephone malfunctions, failures, or technical errors or difficulties, any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect or delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or tampering with or hacking of any of the websites, computer virus, bug, or other errors or corruptions of any kind whether human, mechanical, electronic or network or the incorrect or inaccurate capture of information or the failure to capture, or loss of, any such information or any other factor that may prevent an individual from completing or Station from receiving (accurately or otherwise) a phone call, an email, accessing any website (including the Station or any third party website), or for any problem associated with the Station website or voting website or software, internet, telephone connections, servers, routers, or any other technical problem that may impact entry, participation, voting or prize claim in any way, regardless of the cause, including, without limitation, any injury or damage to any person’s computer, equipment, property, software or network related to or resulting from participating in a Station contest or visiting its websites (whether as an entrant, visitor or voter). Station and Sponsor/s assume no responsibility for any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by website users, or by any equipment or programming associated with or utilized in a Station Contest. Station is not responsible for any printing errors or typographical errors. If, for any reason, in the sole opinion of Station, the Contest is not capable of running as planned by reason of infection by computer virus, worms, bugs, tampering, hacking, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, system overload or any other causes, whether discovered or suspected by Station, which, in sole opinion of the Station, does or could corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of a Contest.

All entries become the property of the Station and incomplete or ineligible entrants will be void. Entries that are determined to be fraudulent will be void, and the person making such an entry may be barred from further participation in this Contest and, in Station’s sole discretion on a case by case basis, banned from any future participation in any Station Contest (which Station’s decision may not be disputed or appealed).

By participating in this Contest, entrants hereby agree and each entrant hereby remises, releases and forever discharges and agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Stations, its affiliates, parents, assigns, successors, employees, agents and all others connected with them and the Contest from any and all liability, claims, actions, and damages sustained or incurred by participation in the Contest and the receipt and use of any prize(s) awarded (if any) through this Contest arising in any manner whatsoever, including but not limited to an act or omission, whether negligent, intentional or otherwise caused by Station, its affiliates, parents, assigns, successors, employees, agents and all others connected with them and this Contest.

By participating in this Contest, entrants hereby consent to the Station’s usage of any one or more of the following for on-air broadcast, online usage and for any other advertising and promotional purpose in any medium whatsoever without payment of any additional consideration: entrant’s name; voice; likeness; biographical information; his/her participation in the Contest; and the substance of the entrant’s entry form or any other Contest submissions.

By entering this Contest, entrants understand and agree that Station may take photographs and/or videotape and/or audiotape any entrant’s participation, appearance and/or performance in connection with this Contest (before, during or after the Contest) and that Station will own any such photos, audio and/or video and shall be free to utilize, such materials in any way it sees fit during or after the Contest with no compensation to the entrants, including without limitation posting any such photographs, audio and/or videos on its website.

Station reserves the right to prohibit the participation of an individual from this Contest if fraud or tampering is suspected or if the individual fails to comply with any requirement of participation as stated herein or with any provision in these Contest rules.

Station reserves the right to: (i) terminate or declare the Contest null and void and rescind any prize, if in its sole judgment, the rules or the integrity of the Contest have been violated or compromised in any way, intentionally or unintentionally by any person whether or not a participant in the Contest; (ii) alter or amend these Contest rules at any time; (iii) provide alternative means of entry and/or (iv) stop or conclude the Contest at any time without prior notice. Material changes to the Contest rules will be broadcast on-air and/or posted online, when practical. Information collected by Stations in connection with entering or otherwise participating in this Contest may be used in accordance with Station’s privacy policy (available from a link at the bottom of a participating Station’s website home page).
