APPLETON, Wis. — The tenth edition of Mile of Music will move and groove its way to Downtown Appleton this weekend.
The free music festival brings 200 artists playing original music only, in 40 different venues across a one-mile stretch of Downtown Appleton.
Returning to the festival in 2023 is the Mile of Music Bus, which last operated for Mile 7 in 2019 and was sidelined by the COVID-19 pandemic. Valley Transit is bringing back the bus where 50 musicians will play this weekend.
Mile of Music performances typically run from approximately 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m. Thursday-Saturday. Sunday typically goes from about noon to 6:00 p.m.
Hayley Tenpas spoke with Mile of Music organizers, and the Wisconsin Department of Tourism/Travel Wisconsin, to learn more about the excitement brewing for this year’s festival.
