Last night (October 6), blink-182’s Tom DeLonge was in attendance at the San Diego Padres’ home playoff game against the Milwaukee Brewers and got a little emotional when the crowd started singing “All the Small Things.”
The song has become a tradition at Petco Park over the past few years. Its played whenever the Padres have the lead going into the bottom of the eigth inning. DeLonge grew up in San Diego County and has been a lifelong Padres fan. He’s no stranger to the tradition of playing this song but this is the first time he’s gotten emotional.
Cameras caught him tearing up while taking in the moment before he sang “Work suck, I know” while throwing up horns.
The Padres won last night 4-3 but are down 1-2 against the Brewers in the Division Series.
