Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker is opening up about the biggest moments of his life in the new documentary Travis Barker: Louder Than Fear, premiering August 13 on Hulu and Disney+ (for Hulu bundle subscribers in the U.S.).
The documentary tells Barker’s story from his early days in Southern California to becoming one of the most influential drummers in modern rock. It also takes an honest look at the 2008 plane crash that left Barker with burns over much of his body and claimed the lives of his assistant Chris “Lil Chris” Baker, bodyguard Charles “Che” Still, and two pilots. Barker and DJ AM survived the crash, though DJ AM died the following year.
The film features interviews with Barker, Mark Hoppus and Tom DeLonge of Blink-182, along with appearances from Tommy Lee and the late Taylor Hawkins.
It looks like blink-182 are in the process of working on a new album as well. While promoting the upcoming documentary, Barker was asked about additional projects outside of producing and playing drums on the new Alkaline Trio album and he said:
“I’m starting a couple of other projects, like producing projects, working on the next blink album.”
When pressed as to whether the album was being worked on this year or next, Barker confirmed that its a 2026 project saying:
“Working on the blink album this year.”
Travis Barker: Louder Than Fear begins streaming on Hulu and Disney+ on August 13.
