The new trailer for the latest Marvel Cinematic Universe film has been released. Spider-Man: Brand New Day is the latest offering featuring Tom Holland reprising his role as Spider-Man/Peter Parker along with Zendaya and Jacob Batalon returning as MJ and Ned Leeds respectively. Other cast members include Jon Bernthal as Punisher/Frank Castle, Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner (Hulk) and Michael Mando (Breaking Bad) as Scorpion. Sadie Sink (Stranger Things) has also been cast in an unknown role but rumored to be Jean Grey, Gwen Stacy or possibly Firestar. Along with Scorpion, other villains featured in the trailer include Boomerang and possibly Tarantula, which all had ties to the Marvel villain group The Sinister Six. The villain group ‘The Hand’ also appears. The trailer is featured below.
According to the film’s synopsis, “Four years have passed since the events of No Way Home, and Peter is now an adult living entirely alone, having voluntarily erased himself from the lives and memories of those he loves. Crime-fighting in a New York that no longer knows his name, he’s devoted himself entirely to protecting his city — a full-time Spider-Man — but as the demands on him intensify, the pressure sparks a surprising physical evolution that threatens his existence, even as a strange new pattern of crimes gives rise to one of the most powerful threats he has ever faced.”
Spider-Man: Brand New Day will be in theaters on July 31st.
