According to Alternative Press, both a reissue and anniversary tour in the works for Weezer, in celebration of their 1994 debut album Blue Album turning 30 next year. Fingers crossed they come somewhere close.
In an interview with Collider, per Alternative Press, Rivers Cuomo revealed the exciting news saying, “We are going to give it its due respect and come out with a really amazing deluxe package with a bunch of additional material, and of course, we’ve gotta do some kind of epic tour.”
He also hinted at some possible shows being snuck in once they wrap up with their 2024 U.K. tour with the Smashing Pumpkins in June, saying “there’s this very suspicious blank space in our calendar for months after that, so I’d keep your eye on that.”
The band celebrated the album turning 10 back in 2004 with a deluxe reissue, but didn’t do anything for when it turned 20. They also performed both Blue Album and Pinkerton at some shows in 2010.
