John Rowan, the drummer for Chicago Alt band Urge Overkill has died. They are widely known for their song “Sister Havana”. In 1995 Rowan was arrested for heroin possession and left the band in 1996.

Their cover of Neil Diamond’s “Girl, You’ll be a Woman Soon” blew up and got a cult following thanks to Quentin Tarantino’s Pulp Fiction. The band toured with Nirvana during the Nevermind Tour.
